A simple, one-time setup.

After installation, Cascade Trail Maps will offer the offline map package on first launch. It is approximately 6 MB and contains the regional trail map and topo context for this beta.

01 / JOIN

Join the private test

Open the Google Play beta link above while signed in with the Google account that received this invitation. Choose Become a tester.

02 / INSTALL

Install from Google Play

After joining, select Download it on Google Play. Play handles installation and future beta updates—no “unknown apps” setting or APK download is needed.

03 / MAPS

Download maps

Open Cascade Trail Maps and select Download Maps. Once the small package completes, core maps and trails are ready without cell service.

Tap the floating three-line button to open the menu. Tap anywhere on the map outside the menu to close it.

Recenter GPS

Return the map to your current location after you have panned away.

Show my location

Turn GPS location on or off; when active, your position appears on the map.

Location Bookmarks

Jump directly to a regional trail area such as Dutchman, Meissner, or Mt. Bachelor.

Layers

Choose the trail systems, markers, topo context, and personal tracks you want to see.

Start recording

Record a simple personal ski or snowshoe track, stored locally on your device.

Settings

Manage downloaded maps, saved tracks, and app preferences.
